Employee Assistance Program QLD (EAP)
Activating Your Corporate Social Responsibility
Employee assistance programs (EAP’s) offer businesses a cost-effective way of supporting their staff by providing a proactive approach to staff wellbeing before workplace concerns become a significant problem. Over the past decade, the use of EAP’s has been welcomed by small and large organisations that recognise the value of staff support and the expectations of industry to mitigate risk. The development of strong EAP supports highlights the potential for a financially sound investment in the health and wellbeing of employees and their longevity in the organisation.

Over the past three decades, I have worked as a health professional in a myriad of clinical, managerial, educational and academic roles.
Through my experiences of providing sensitive care to people balancing their mental health, acute/chronic health issues and traumatic injuries, I have shaped and honed a deeply empathetic approach to therapy.
My focus is to develop a collaborative therapeutic relationship with a person, to build trust, and hold a safe space. I sit with people, listening intently, without judgement, in a trusting and caring way. Together, we can work through your goals to facilitate the changes you seek.
I am interested in all areas of counselling, and I have an avid professional, academic and personal interest in autism.
Tina Myrteza
Counsellor
DipTeach, BEd(Prim), GradCertEdSt, MEdSt(GuidCouns&Careers), MACA
As a counsellor I bring a wide range of experience from a 30-year career in education, working with a diverse group of people of all ages. My objective with all my clients is to meet them where they are at and not where they are expected to be. I continue to live, learn, and be inspired by everyone I meet.
My approach involves a strength-based model. I take the time to authentically understand my clients and their needs and work cohesively with them to co construct a plan that will serve them long term. Every client is important, valued and respected and each session is uniquely crafted to honour the client’s individuality. My personal goal is that after every session the client feels empowered and in a better position to work through their challenges.
I support a wide variety of clients from young children, teenagers through to adults.

“Before every session, I take a moment to remember my humanity. There is no experience that this person has had that I cannot share with them, no fear that I cannot understand, no suffering that I cannot care about, because I too am human. No matter how deep their wound, they do not need to be ashamed in front of me. I too am vulnerable. And because of this, I am enough. Whatever their story, they no longer need to be alone with it. This is what will allow their healing to begin.”
Carl Rogers, American Psychologist
